I was reminded of some verses in a book I have been reading. It struck a chord with me, so I thought I would share.
“He will feed His flock like a shepherd; He will gather the lambs (your children) with His arm, and carry them in His bosom, and gently lead those who are with young (you!)”
Isaiah 40:11
God promises to lead you as a mother, and he promises to carry your children. That is so comforting to me. I can start panicking sometimes, and I need to slow down and rest in the fact that God is in control. He also promises to feed you as a mother. So many times I feel empty, but it is just because I have not followed the Shepherd to the field!
